Bloodchained Bracelet Winner!!

Stacia of Bedford, OH was the lucky winner of Heroica's bracelet. This replica of the bracelet worn by the First Mother of the Roicans--a gift from her Blood Mate Ireogot-- features the carylian symbol marked with their initials. Only two bracelets were crafted of faux Balinese silver out of polymer clay by the author herself.

Members of the Soulful Sex Partners Project comment on their "pre-reads":

"I’m enjoying involvement in this particular kind of empowerment and I’m appreciating you for doing this, very much!  Moreover, it’s helping wannabe writers like myself understand the details of actually writing something rather than merely dreaming about doing so. I’m honored to be connecting in some way, with a published author." -EBR

I'm looking forward to reading this book, big time! -ML

I read the excerpt and enjoyed it.  It was sad but you could really get a good feel for the strength of both characters.  It was a great way to introduce them.  I look forward to reading more! -RS

I was fascinated by the Roican concept and I can't wait to read more as the story progresses. I see a lot of great possibilities for this story. -RB

Loved it! I feel like I know this guy already. Your description of Finn is spot on. I could 'see' him, if you get my drift. Anyway, keep up the good work! -BL

This is great! Very good suspense...The origin of the Roicans is fascinating too. I have learned about these characters and their feelings so much that I know them and have come to love them. I can hardly wait to read the outcome of BLOODCHAINED. I am just happy to have a part in this. I love it! -WM

It was such a pleasure reading the first chapters of Bloodchained. Think of it this way - I would normally not choose a book of this genre, but I love it! It is written so well and the characters are unique and engaging. All in all, I'm amazed. This story is wonderful - you are wonderful - and I can't wait to read the rest! -CB

Oh Diana! No one does a vampire seduction like you, my dear! I am already swooning! -CP

Oh, I really love the characters! One thing I really noticed was how you left the door wide open for a second book. I love that. Well I always want to read more once I love some characters. -KD

Wow.... a real page turner on your hands here. The suspense is fantastic! You've managed to throw me a couple of curve balls that I didn't see coming, which is extremely refreshing in a piece of writing for me. I like the turn on old vampire legends. You have an awesome sense of place and great, vivid detail throughout. I can see surroundings and characters clearly. I was up late because I couldn't put it down! -GS

I marvel at your technique, the same as I would marvel at a perfectively rendered drawing. You know your craft and that is pretty awesome. Hats off to you. All this praise is an aside from your imagination and creativity, which is so obvious. I mean, the vampire story has been told and retold countless times but to reinvent it through the story of the Roicans, gives it a new texture and turns the tables on the whole "poor vampire... can't help himself! " scenario. -CP

A Gift from a Fan!

Talented quilter Jen Buettner designed and sewed this amazing set of six Bloodchained coasters featuring the carylian symbol. I was so touched that she loved the book enough to want to celebrate it with her craft! These coasters were used with pride at the Bloodchained Launch Party on October 12, 2007.
